MILBRIDGE – Charles Sprague, 70, passed away Nov. 19, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with cancer. Born Aug. 7, 1938, in Milbridge, he was the son of Clifford and Phyllis Sprague. Charles loved to play bingo and go fishing. He is survived by five sisters, Bernice Thompson and Betty Vance of Old Orchard Beach, Shirley Thompson of Jonesport, Charlene Seavey and Judy Seavey of Milbridge; one brother, Richard Sprague of Milbridge; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Eric Clifford of Old Orchard Beach. There will be a memorial gathering 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Downeast Fellowship Hall, Steuben. Donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation.
