Prosecutor, defense attorney discuss murder case in slaying of deputy

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Marchese, first, and defense attorney Verne Paradie, second, discuss the murder case against John D. Williams, 29, who is accused of killing Somerset County Sheriff’s Deputy Eugene Cole, 61, in April. Williams was in court on Tuesday for a brief arraignment proceeding, during which he pleaded not guilty to the crime.
