When are your business’ email subscribers most likely to unsubscribe?

There’s only one thing worse than when customers on your email list don’t open your emails: When they unsubscribe altogether.

There are plenty of variables that cause people to unsubscribe, and we’ve covered some of the wrong ways to send emails, but what about the wrong times?

Hubspot has studied more than 100,000 email unsubscribe events and had some surprising conclusions: A disproportionately high percentage of unsubscribes happen on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The hours of 10 a.m. to noon were popular unsubscribe times.

And the month people were most likely to unsubscribe? November. It’s just data, and Hubspot offers no analysis of why these times are popular, but it stands to reason you should avoid these times when possible. Check out the whole study, with a handy infographic, over at Hubspot.
