FORT KENT, Maine — A walk and candlelight vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 8, in remembrance of Amy Theriault who was killed May 31.
The walk will begin at Forest Hill nursing home in Fort Kent and will end at the Lion’s Pavilion at Riverside Park where participants will gather for a candlelight vigil, song, and prayer. Theriault was a certified nursing assistant at Forest Hill nursing home. Those who are unable to participate in the walk are welcome to gather at the Lion’s Pavilion.
Participants are encouraged to wear purple which is the awareness color for domestic violence. Purple ribbon pins will be available and vigil candles will be provided and are also available at Valley Motors and Pelletier Ford in Fort Kent.
