Useful Arts Camp open house

CAMDEN, Maine  — Local high school students will host an open house to

showcase a solar energy system of their own original design and construction from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Bamboo Bike Studio, 44 Bayview Street.

The open house will be the culmination of Useful Arts Camp, a chance for local high school students to sharpen engineering, fabrication, design and collaboration skills through real-world problem solving. The camp is run by the non-profit Society for Useful Arts (www.useful-arts.com) and Bamboo Bike Studio.

Join campers to see their solar energy system, enjoy refreshments, and support our town’s young problem-solvers. For more information, go to the campers’ blog at www.theusefulartisan.wordpress.com.
