FORT KENT, Maine — The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host the third annual UMFK Classic and Custom Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, on the university campus.
The car show will be held during the UMFK Homecoming and the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce annual Scarecrow Festival.The event is free of charge to the public. The car show will be an informal gathering of people who enjoy classic and customized vehicles.
UMFK invites all classic and custom vehicle owners from the area to bring their classic or custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, or sport utility vehicles to campus to display them.
Carl Theriault, owner of Valley Auto in Fort Kent, will provide awards for the judged classes.
Participants in the car show also are invited to participate in the annual “UMFK Homecoming/ Scarecrow Festival” parade.
The classic and custom car show also will include onsite vendors, face painting, entertainment, and plenty of fun for the whole family.
