- Hancock Woman’s Club is offering scholarships to high school seniors or students enrolled in college. An applicant must be a resident of Hancock or have his or her application endorsed by a club member, and be planning to attend an institute of higher learning in the fall 2013. Scholarships will be paid after completion of the fall 2013 semester. Completed applications must be postmarked by April 15. Applications are available at high school guidance offices, the Hancock Town Hall or by calling Jackie Nicholson at 422-6852.
- Business and Professional Women/Maine Futurama Foundation is offering $1,200 scholarships to high school seniors and college students. Application forms, instructions and information about where to submit completed application packages are available at www.bpwmefoundation.org. Financial need and educational goals are important criteria. Application deadline is April 20.
- Downeast Business and Professional Women is offering $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education, including a scholarship for an area student taking at least three classes per semester. Deadline for completed application is April 30.
