Portland Children’s Film Festival revving up for second year

PORTLAND, Maine — The second annual Portland Children’s Film Festival will take place April 4-7 in venues throughout Portland. The festival will feature unique independent and international film showings, artist-lead workshops, a film contest for K-12 students, and other events designed to teach attendees of any age.

Portland venues for film showing and workshops include Nickelodeon Cinemas, Portland Public Library, East End Community School, USM Abromson Theater and more. The festival was created and organized by East End Community School parents and teachers with the intention of bringing Maine families together to view and celebrate the art of film-making. Organizers have planned this festival to be an annual fixture of Portland’s community that will continue to grow in size and scope.

Sponsors include Whole Foods Market, the University of Southern Maine, and East End Community School, among other generous supporters. For more information, please visit
