After years of planning, the Market Street Co-op has made the transition from buying club to grocery store front. In early April, they officially opened their doors to the public. The Co-op is a member owned store. While membership is encouraged, the public is welcome.
Market Street Co-op is committed to offering locally and regionally grown produce, meat and dairy products, earth friendly household cleaners, natural healthcare, bulk herbs and spices, crafts from local artisans and so much more. A variety of classes will be offered soon and plans for a farm to table cafe and juice bar are also currently in the works.
Market Street Co-op will be hosting a Grand Opening Celebration with ribbon cutting on June 14 starting at 9 AM until 4 PM. They’ll have hourly door prizes, a silent auction, live entertainment and refreshments will be served.
Business hours are currently Thursday through Saturday from 9 AM through 4 PM with plans to expand in the near future.
