Federal contracts awarded to companies in Maine

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The following are the federal contracts awarded to companies located in the state of Maine  for the week of Aug. 8-14:

  • General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, was awarded a $9,011,625 federal contract by the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair, Bath, Maine, to provide material and labor in support of the post-shakedown availability for USS Independence. Place of performance will be in San Diego.
  • Intermat, Biddeford, was awarded a $7,127,246 federal contract by the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Va., for continued research and development efforts directed toward the fabrication of carbon-carbon shape stable nosetip materials; development and fabrication of advanced reentry materials including antenna windows, control surfaces, leading edges and heat shields; and support of engineering studies in direct support of Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile reentry systems.
  • Patriot Healthcare Services, Bangor, Maine, won a $155,715 federal contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Medical Center, Montrose, N.Y., for containers, trays and mats.
