Community meeting in Orono to focus on state’s proposed budget

ORONO, Maine — State Sen. Emily Cain (D-Orono) and Rep. Ryan Tipping-Spitz (D-Orono) will hold a community forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Minsky Recital Hall at the University of Maine. The focus of the forum will be the governor’s proposed two-year budget where citizens will be able to share concerns, ask questions and learn more about the proposed budget.

“These forums are a chance for me to hear directly from constituents on the important issues we face in Augusta, like the governor’s proposed budget and legislation impacting education, health care, and jobs,” said Sen. Cain. “The more I hear from constituents, the better I can represent them.”

The forum will be held at the Minsky Recital Hall at the University of Maine from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will be co-facilitated with Representative Ryan Tipping-Spitz (D-Orono).
