Beauty School to give Saturday profits to women’s shelter

BANGOR, Maine — Empire Beauty Schools in Bangor and Caribou will donate 100 percent of all revenue collected on Saturday, Oct. 12, through its student salons to area shelters assisting women and children who are victims of domestic violence.

  The event is part of a one-day national fund-raising effort by Empire, raising money for shelters across the country. In Bangor and Caribou, the event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bangor school is at 639 Broadway. In Caribou, it is at 30 Skyway Drive.

Each Empire School has adopted a local shelter to donate its ‘National Day of Beauty’ proceeds to.  In Bangor, all donations will go to the Battered Women’s Project and Spruce Run.
