Fort Kent, Maine—The University of Maine at Fort Kent women’s basketball team defeated the University of Maine at Machias 81-48 on Tuesday evening.
In the women’s game, Machias led early, 9-7 as the Bengals started slow but UMFK ended the quarter on an 11-1 run. They never looked back from there. They increased their scoring output each quarter and held their opponent to 16 or under each quarter.
Savana Jankowski had 16 of her game-high 25 in the first half and the Bengals hit 11 three pointers on the evening.
Madison Fenner hit four threes and finished with 16 points. Tate Dolley had 13 and 10 rebounds in her first matchup against her hometown team.
