Fort Kent, Maine–The University of Maine at Fort Kent men’s basketball team defeated UMaine-Machias 114-59 on Friday night.
Senior Fred Sanchez saved his best shooting performance for his final home contest as he hit nine three point shots for his career high of 27 points.
The Bengals came out firing on all cylinders hitting for 69 first half points. UMFK used full court pressure in the opening 10 minutes to create turnovers that led to dunks and threes for the Bengals. UMFK hit 10 first half three pointers and 15 overall.
Senior Joe McCloskey had 25 and 7 rebounds while Rosevelt Smith had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Bobby Syvanthong chipped in with 12 points and seven assists.
