At South Paris, turnovers cost Oxford Hills an eight-point halftime lead before the end of the third quarter Monday night, and Bangor held on for the KVAC victory.
Alex Campbell had 20 points and Connor Adams added 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Bangor (8-3). Sean Tucci turned in 10 for the Rams, who trailed 35-27 before using a 16-7 scoring run to take command in the third.
Bangor increased its lead to six points in the final minute before Oxford Hills (4-7) hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to account for the final margin, Jake Plummer fueled the Vikings with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Andrew Fleming furnished 14 points and nine boards.
