The charming historic Village is festooned for the season, and the pop-up Holiday Gift Shop in the Nickels Sortwell barn on Federal St. offers one-of-a-kind artisan-made selections. Wreaths Around the Holidays, featuring sumptuously decorated wreaths by local businesses, will also be on display in the barn.
On Friday evening, Dec. 3 the Creamery Pier on Rte.1 will feature a roving Santa, a live DJ, hot cocoa and cookies. The grand finale is a stunning display of fireworks over the Sheepscot River!
On Saturday, while visiting Wiscasset Village during Marketfest, hop onto Woodfield Farm’s horse-drawn wagon to get to your destination or for a peaceful jaunt around the Village.
Shops in the Village will be offering raffle tickets for a free drawing for dining at one of these Wiscasset area restaurants: Water St. Kitchen and Bar, Water’s Edge, and Montsweag Restaurant. Take a chance while you shop – it’s free!
The stunning Nickels Sortwell House, a Historic New England property, will be offering guided tours through the first floor of the house, decorated for the season. Learn the story of the sea captains and the families who lived here – their financial ups and downs. Advance reservations required.
