The University of Maine School of Performing Arts opens the play “Metamorphoses” by Mary Zimmerman on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Hauck Auditorium. Additional performances are Nov. 16, 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees Nov. 17 and 24 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at umaine.edu/spa or at the door one hour prior to the show. The play, directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Marcia Joy Douglas, is based on the classic Ovid poem “Metamorphoses”. The setting is a large swimming pool; audience members will be seated around the pool on stage.
