An event every week that begins at 7:30 am on Saturday, repeating indefinitely
These mornings are meant to review and support basic practices for turning our attention to this moment; resting in our bodies, breath, and essential awareness; and deepening what Buddhism calls our wholesome states of being.
Saturday Meditation Lab is intended to offer key instruction, encouragement, and
support to cultivating, deepening, and expanding your relationship to meditation..
Support for beginning meditation, deepening your current practice, within a meditation community.
While allowing space for silent practice, it will also address such issues as
-the use of body position and the inhabiting of that position
-inhabiting the breath
-the use of key words to orient the direction of the mind
-the integration of body, breath, sensing and feeling states
-integrating and healing our emotional suffering
-opening to wholesome states of being
-the psychology of meditation and prayer, and their mutual
intersection and support
-guided meditations from different wisdom traditions
-the experience and recognition of essential illuminating awareness
-re-inhabiting our universal body and recognizing our innate awakened nature
-dedication to the welfare of all being
