Maine Mounted Search and Rescue to benefit from trail ride Sept. 28-29

LAGRANGE, Maine — Maine Mounted Search and Rescue, a volunteer organization, will benefit from a trail ride Sept. 28-29, sponsored by Mainely Gaiters, rain or shine. Arrival by noon Friday, Sept. 26, is acceptable with prior approval, otherwise arrival is 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and ride out at 10 a.m. sharp. Bring your lunch, plus a favorite side dish or dessert to share. Refrigeration available. Ride on your own Sunday, Sept. 29. Depart by 2 p.m. Several trails of varying lengths available. Primitive camping in a field. Horse water can be delivered to your campsite. Portable corrals, and high lines are acceptable; no stalls available. No Porta Potties provided. Bring drinks and chairs, and your guitar if musically inclined. Cost $10 per day, plus will accept donations.
