DAMARISCOTTA, Maine — The Maine Residents Property Tax and Rent Refund “Circuit Breaker” has been replaced by a refundable Property Tax Fairness Credit that can be claimed on the Maine Individual Income Tax Form. The filing deadline is May 31. By appointment, Spectrum Generations volunteers will be assisting community members who do not need to file a federal income tax form with the completion of their 1040ME Income Tax Form and the Property Tax Fairness Credit Worksheet 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27, at Coastal Community Center Spectrum Generations, 521 Main St. Call 563-1363.
