Introduction to genograms for families and social service staff
January 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Community Caring Collaborative is excited to announce our first virtual, FREE, “brown bag lunch” of the new year. CCC Consultant Elin MacKinnon, LCSW, introduces genograms as a tool for families and social service staff during this hour-long virtual “brown bag lunch” on Jan. 24.
A genogram is a tool to create a symbolic diagram of a family, typically children, parents, and grandparents. “Genograms are not difficult to learn and are an excellent way to get to know more about your own family as well as any family you might work with in a social service setting,” explains Elin. “They can allow you to explore history, relationships, health issues and tell a story of family patterns. Only paper and pencil are needed.”
Join us on Zoom from 11 a.m. to noon to learn more about using genograms (don’t worry about eating your lunch on camera – we will all be doing that!). You will need to register to attend this Zoom event.
