Reclaiming ancestral knowledge, unraveling the fractious geometry of urban landscapes, and redressing conditions of dissonance in contemporary life inform the impassioned works of this assembly of artists. These six women embrace difficult societal issues of displacement and isolation on communities and individuals. Collectively their works articulate enigmatic experiences and reveal introspective creative processes that are fervent and restorative. Alumni Artists: Gina Adams ‘02, Hannah Barnes ‘02, Jenny McGee Dougherty ‘05, Rebecca Bennett Duke ‘95, Shirah Neumann MFA ‘12, and Rebecca Wood ‘13.
