MIDCOAST, Maine — The Sukeforth Annual Big-Sol Pig Roast & Auction Fundraiser held on September 7, 2013 at the Sukeforth family camp on Bingham/Solon line was a huge success. All in attendance could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The generosity of the community of supporters helped realize a grand total of $55,750, with over $38,500 of that going to Spectrum Generations Meals on Wheels.

It was truly a community effort orchestrated by Doug and Rita Sukeforth, their daughter Annette Marin, and the rest of the incredible Sukeforth family. Their hard work, dedication, and loving spirit is an enormous asset to our community which, in part, helped Spectrum Generations zero out the Meals on Wheels waiting list and return to twice a week delivery.

Spectrum Generations would also like to thank all of the businesses who donated items and the bidders who went above and beyond, understanding the true value of what their bids were going towards. They received wonderful items and, in turn, helped support their homebound neighbors in need.

We hope to see even more of you at next year’s Pig Roast & Auction. If you would like to be added to the event mailing list, please visit, call 620-1677, or email
