Penobscot Community Health Care is pleased to announce that Mary-Ellen MacDonald, FNP-C, has joined the medical staff of PCHC to provide Walk-In Care services at PCHC’s Walk-In Centers in Bangor, Brewer, and Old Town. Ms. MacDonald’s practice centers on all aspects of high-quality acute medical care and treatment.
Mary-Ellen MacDonald, FNP-C, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine and her Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, Husson University. Prior to joining Penobscot Community Health Care, Ms. MacDonald served as Family Nurse Practitioner at Sunbury Medical in Winterport. Ms. MacDonald has practiced in the nursing field since 2001. Robert Allen, MD, PCHC’s Executive Medical Director, states, “Mary Ellen MacDonald, FNP-C, is an excellent addition to PCHC’s Walk-In Services. Mary Ellen will be working in Bangor, Brewer, and Old Town. She is an excellent and hard-working provider and patients will appreciate her thoroughness and efficiency.”
Ms. MacDonald is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the Golden Key National Honor Society, the Maine Nurse Practitioner Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is seeing patients at PCHC Walk-In Care Centers at Brewer Medical Center, Helen Hunt Health Center, and Penobscot Community Health Center which are open to the public seven days per week, Monday-Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday/Sunday 9am-4pm.
