Lunafest, a selection of 9 short films by, for and about women, will be presented at the Alamo Theater in Bucksport on April 11, 2014 at 7pm. Men are welcome! There will be a brief reception a half hour before the films start with wine and seltzer available and raffle tickets to some wonderful area restaurants. All proceeds will go to the Mabel Wadsworth Women’s Health Center and the Breast Cancer Fund.
The selected films will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heart strings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. The movies are incredibly diverse in content, including stories about blind dates and unexpected love, economic hardships, a young girl with Tourette’s Syndrome and a basketball team of women who are all fierce competitors in their seventies.
Corporate sponsors include Coyote Moon and Stanley Subaru. Additional business sponsors are welcome.
