Children are learning about water quality while having fun swimming at the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District Summer Camp.

The PCSWCD Summer Camps are a fun way for kids to get outdoors and learn about natural resources and agriculture first-hand from farmers and natural resource professionals that provide lively presentations, unique demonstrations and engaging hands-on activities.

The summer camp schedule for children ages 7-12 is from 9:00AM-Noon, Monday through Friday. Natural Resources Week is July 15th-19th and Agricultural Tours Week is July 29th-August 2nd.

The NEW summer camp for youth ages 13-18 is from 9:00AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday. Natural Resources Week is August 5th-9th and Agricultural Tours Week is August 12th-16th.

Space is still available in both camps. These summer camps are open to youth of the region and also visiting families.

For more information and for pre-registration, please contact the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District by emailing, calling 564-2321, extension 3, or stopping by our office at 42 Pine Crest Drive in Dover-Foxcroft.

These camps are made possible by generous community support, including Save-a-Lot Food Store in Dover-Foxcroft, the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis, the Three Rivers Kiwanis, the Milo Garden Club and local farms. The new summer camp for ages 13-18 is funded by a generous grant from the Maine Community Foundation’s Piscataquis County Fund.
