Horticulturist Jan Macdonald will lead a presentation on container gardening at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, April 23 at 12:00 noon.
Even people with the most limited space can use container gardening methods to grow herbs, flowers, and vegetables. Macdonald will demonstrate methods on how to create container gardens that can be accessed from any angle, are easy on the back and knees, and can be placed anywhere at least two feet off the ground.
Macdonald owns and operates Barley Joe Farm Greenhouse on Route 90 in Warren. Barley Joe’s has been in operation since 1968, growing plants from seed to sale in the Midcoast region.
This lecture is part of the Spring Talk Series at Merryspring, sponsored by The First.
Admission to the Tuesday Talks is free to Merryspring members and children. There is a $5 charge for non-members.
