LEWISTON — You’re invited to join SeniorsPlus on Tuesday, Feb. 4 for “Legal Planning for Seniors,” a class that will discuss considerations involving the authorization of another person to make financial and health care decisions on your behalf.
Participants in this class will learn about financial powers of attorney, advance directives for health care and planning for the disposition of property on death. This involves more than signing a will; without careful planning, property may pass to unintended beneficiaries after you pass away. Proper planning may also allow you to avoid probate, minimizing costs and delays for your heirs.
The class will be led by Meg Greene of Lewiston-based law firm Brann & Isaacson. Her practice focuses on estate planning, charitable giving and estate and trust administration. Her representation also includes the preparation of wills and trusts.
