FREEPORT — The Freeport Library will hold an “Intro to Permaculture” class 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 10 Library Drive. Join Kate Wallace, programs director at the Resilience Hub, for an evening discussion about how to create a small-scale, high-food-yield, permaculture oasis on your property. Permaculture is a system for designing edible ecosystems and healthy human habitats. This is a perfect introduction for beginners of all ages interested in integrating organic gardening, ecology, and climate and sustainability solutions in order to design resilient households and communities.

This event is free and open to the public. For questions or directions to the Library, call 207-865-3307 or visit freeportlibrary.com.
