Blue Hill Library Film: ‘The Maltese Falcon’

BLUE HILL — The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library Film Series will again for the fall season, with two showings of “The Maltese Falcon: (1941), starring Humphrey Bogart and Mary Astor, 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at 5 Parker Point Road.

Based on the novel by Dashiell Hammett, this film noir follows a private detective who takes on a case that involves three eccentric criminals, a femme fatale who is a liar, and their quest for a priceless statuette.

All films are shown free of charge on the Library’s “pretty big” screen in the Howard Room. For more information, call the library at 207-374-5515.
