CAMDEN — The Camden Garden Club will hold its next meeting 9-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at First Congregation Church, 55 Elm St. The program will be “Camden Heritage Trees.” Coffee and tea will be served at 9 a.m. followed by the presentation at 9:30 a.m. after which members and guests are invited to join speaker Nancy Caudle-Johnson on a heritage tree walking tour of the village.
Caudle-Johnson is a garden club member, licensed arborist and co-founder of Treekeepers LLC with her husband. She enjoys educating Camden residents and visitors on appreciation, preservation and protection of the town trees, and through her writing, photographs and design she hopes to deepen understanding of the earth’s arboreal resource and inspire others to celebrate trees in their communities.
Camden Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine and National Garden Clubs, Inc. Guests and prospective members are always welcome. For more information about the club and its activities visit camdengardenclub.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
