BLUE HILL — The Blue Hill Public Library will a chickadee birdhouse building activity 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at 5 Parker Point Road. Interns from Holbrook Island Sanctuary will be on hand to help kids assemble birdhouse kits designed for black-capped chickadees. The workshop is free and each child can take a finished birdhouse home, but space and materials are limited so registration is required. Participants can register via the library’s interactive calendar at or by calling 207-374-5515.

This project is part of a series of “Conservation Kids” projects by the library that are intended to engage youth volunteers to positively impact the environment and community on the Blue Hill Peninsula. These programs are made possible by a grant from the Davis Conservation Foundation. For more information call the library at 207-374-5515.
