WINTER HARBOR — The Schoodic Institute will hold a lecture, “Timing is everything: how fish and wildlife are responding to climate change through shifts in phenology in the Gulf of Maine” 7-8 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Moore Auditorium, 65 Acadia Drive. This talk will explore and contrast phenological responses to seasonal climate drivers with examples spanning from the base of the food chain to higher trophic level species such as fish, seabirds and marine mammals. The ecological and management implications of shifting phenology and interactions with human activities will also be discussed.
