BELFAST — Belfast Garden Club talk on “Selecting Flowers and Vegetables for Different Environments” by University of Maine Cooperative Extension ornamental horticulturalist Matt Wallhead will be held 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. Wallhead will cover sustainable garden practices, holistic gardening and how to select flowers and vegetables for a wide range of settings. An assistant professor of horticulture, Wallhead helps educate growers in Maine’s ornamental horticulture industry.
