SULLIVAN — Maine Mountain View Youth Sports will hold its sixth annual Winter Fest Ice Fishing Derby beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Flanders Pond, Flanders Pond Road off Tunk Lake Road (Route 183). There will be signs to help guide participants to the beach area. Fish weigh-in is 3-5 p.m. at the public beach. First, second and third place prizes for pickerel, bass and perch in three categories. Prize for longest hornpout. First 50 kids receive a prize when they bring fish to the beach. Open to all ages. Entertainment 11 a.m.-noon by Trisha Mason Band. Tickets at Tideway, Young’s Market, Hancock Grocery and Franklin Trading post, and day of the derby until noon. Concessions sales to benefit Phillip Carter Foundation. Derby proceeds to benefit youth sports program at Mountain View School.
