HOLDEN — Maine Audubon will partner with University of Maine, Curran Homestead Village, and the Maine Discovery Museum for a day of science, history and fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at 216 Fields Pond Rd. Activities include winter lake ecology stations on the pond (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), traditional ice-harvesting demonstrations (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), hands-on ice-science experiments for kids at the Fields Pond Nature Center (1 p.m.), and Belgian draft horse sleigh rides.
All Maine Audubon programs are free for members. Non-members are $10 individual/$20 family. Buy tickets here.
