HOPE – Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust for our monthly Hike-the-Guide outing from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Hatchet Mountain Preserve in Hope. Scott Dickerson and Janet Redfield will lead this invigorating hike while sharing the history of the mountain. The .75-mile well-built trail switchbacks up the face of the mountain, offering majestic views easterly past Bald and Ragged Mountains and Camden Hills State Park towards Penobscot Bay. Directions: From Camden, take Route 105 out of Camden to Hope Center. At Hope Center, take a left onto Hatchet Mountain Road, Route 235, and drive just over 0.5 miles to parking area on the right. Parking is very limited (4 cars) so plan to carpool from the Hope Town Office parking lot across from Hope Orchards
