Why: IMA will host the new COSO Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Certificate Course in Boston for the first time. The live and interactive two-day training program will educate participants on the concepts and principles of the newly updated ERM framework, preparing them to integrate it into organizations’ strategy-setting processes to drive business performance.
Attendees will walk away from the experience with the resources and expertise to implement effective ERM and internal control systems in their organizations with the frameworks established by COSO. IMA members and prospective members are invited to participate.
The course will be presented by Sandra Richtermeyer, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, Former IMA Chair, COSO Board Member, and Dean of the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Manning School of Business; Paul L. Walker, Ph.D., CPA Zurich Chair in Enterprise Risk Management Executive Director, Center for Excellence in ERM at St. John’s University; and Robert Golder, Senior Manager of Educational Products and Processes at IMA.
All participants are required to complete one self-study module prior to attending the workshop which will count for two NASBA CPE hours. Attendees that complete the prework and pass the COSO-issued final exam within 90 days of the completion of the course will receive 18 NASBA CPE hours, along with a distinguished COSO certificate, and a digital badge.
