All men are invited to participate in the 50th gathering of the Granite Men men’s retreat the weekend of September 14-16 in northern New Hampshire woods.
Twice a year at these gatherings, men can relax, recreate, share and explore all aspects of what it means to be a man in a safe atmosphere of brotherhood, openheartedness and mutual respect.
The Granite Men’s Gathering was initially inspired 25 years ago in part by the writings of poet Robert Bly, author of “Iron John: A Book About Men” (1990).
It’s a unique opportunity for men to enjoy camaraderie with other men, not only in play but also as they work on the issues, challenges and truths of being a man in the world.
Copper Cannon Camp in Bethlehem, N.H., is the site of the gatherings. To register now, go to www.granitemen.com. Or you can register at the event. There is a nominal fee for the weekend that covers everything, but no man will be turned away for financial reasons.
Any man 18 years of age or older may attend, regardless of where they call home. Men are encouraged to invite their friends, brothers, fathers, and sons. This is a safe, fun weekend that does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion or sexual orientation.
