BELFAST — The Waldo County Technical Center is seeking donations for its Food For Friends pantry, which helps students who live with food insecurity.

Last year, the pantry helped dozens of students, both with snacks to eat during school time and with food and toiletries to use at home. The school is expecting even more demand for help this year.

The most effective way to help restock the shelves of the FFF pantry is with money or gift cards so staff can purchase what students need and want. If you are interested in participating in this worthy cause, donations can be mailed to or dropped off at: Waldo County Technical Center between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.  at 1022 Waterville Road, Waldo, Maine 04915.  Contact Lacey Breems at 207-342-5231 ext. 222 or email her at lbreems@waldotech.org for more information.

The center will also be accepting food and monetary donations at its annual open house Oct. 23.
