ROCKLAND, Maine — Join Ward Feurt, manager of the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, as he introduces this beautiful coastal refuge in a talk to be given at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Rockland. Named after author and environmentalist, Rachel Carson, this refuge protects valuable salt marshes and estuaries for migratory birds. The refuge is located along 50 miles of coastline in York and Cumberland counties and consists of 11 divisions between Kittery and Cape Elizabeth. This talk is free.
