Verrill Dana is pleased to welcome employment attorney Elizabeth Johnston to the firm’s Portland office. Johnston represents employers and insurers in civil and administrative matters involving various aspects of employment law.
Previously, Johnston was as an associate attorney at another Portland law firm. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Andrew M. Mead of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Johnston received her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law, summa cum laude, where she was a technical editor of the Maine Law Review and a teaching assistant for the Legal Writing Department. She also served as a Bernstein Fellow at the Maine District Court and a judicial extern to the Honorable Kermit Lipez of the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine, summa cum laude.
