PORTLAND — Verrill Dana attorney Kenneth Ginder was elected vice president of the Maine Employee Benefits Council.
An educational organization, the Maine Employee Benefits Council informs Maine employers and employee benefits service providers of ever changing laws and regulations and best practices for compliance.
As Vice President, Mr. Ginder will work with Board members to expand the organization and ensure Maine’s benefit professionals have access to high quality programs and networking opportunities.
Ginder is a member of Verrill Dana’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group and as such, handles matters in all areas of employee benefits, including retirement plans, welfare plans, fringe benefits, and executive compensation. He has significant experience representing clients in IRS and U.S. Department of Labor audits. He has represented many clients before the IRS under its Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS), and before the DOL under its Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program (VFCP) and Delinquent Filer Voluntary Correction Program (DFVCP). He also spends a significant amount of time advising clients on their nonqualified deferred compensation plans and incentive compensation plans.
