UMaine Extension to offer ‘Cooking Matters for Parents’

MACHIAS — University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a free nutrition education program to adults with children living at home 5-7 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the UMaine Extension office, 28 Center St. Classes meet each Wednesday through Oct. 23.

Topics include nutritional information, how to plan and prepare healthy meals, and sampling budget-friendly recipes. Participants will receive ingredients to take home at the end of each class.
