After successful dual careers as physicians, Dr. Danielle Mutty and her husband retired. Retirement not only opened the possibilities of travelling for pleasure but also a chance to share their medical training with poorer nations, such as Haiti. The Castine Woman’s Club and the Wilson Museum will co-host a presentation by Danielle Mutty on Tuesday, November 1 (1 p.m.) at the Wilson Museum’s Hutchins Education Center. She will take her audience on an illustrated tour highlighting some of the magical places she and her husband have visited in the last seventeen years.
Dr. Danielle Mutty was born in the province of Quebec and became a US citizen shortly after her marriage to Dr. Lawrence Mutty. Their careers took them to various cities across the US and finally to Maine in the late 1970s. Now, when not traveling, Dr. Mutty and her husband call Castine home.
