TC reflects on the dwindling summer days

45 degrees; it’s not just an angle, it’s the temperature.

Like the finest wine, or the chocolate cream pie filling unencumbered by useless crust, these are the days which many of us wait for all year round.

Slightly cooler mornings blasted into the bedroom via open windows demands the heavier comforter or quilt pulled up to your chin while your nose demands a piece of the action.

Birds are a little quieter as they are busy packing their goods for the trip south, and our lawns are growing slower as next year’s grass decides to stay under the loam for fear of shivering.

The calendar doesn’t say autumn yet, but summer is screaming uncle- get out and enjoy it.

If you need a cop, we got ’em. Call if you need us.

Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people’s things alone, and be kind to one another.

All we have is each other.
