Dr. Mridula Sood recently assumed her new role as lead of the care team at TAMC’s Caribou Health Center on Bennett Drive. An open house at the Health Center this Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. will serve as Dr. Sood’s official welcome.

Caribou – Community members are invited to attend an open house at TAMC’s Caribou Health Center on Bennett Drive this Friday, August 8, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The event is held as part of the annual Caribou Cares About Kids Celebration and will happen prior to the parade, which begins at 6:00 p.m.

The open house will feature free health screenings and information on both the primary care and specialty care services offered at TAMC’s Caribou facility. The number of specialty practices seeing patients in Caribou has grown in recent months and includes: dermatology, orthopedics, surgical podiatry and urology. Outside the health center will be activities for children – including a bouncy house and face painting. Free refreshments will also be served.

The event will also be an opportunity for the Caribou community to welcome and meet Dr. Mridula Sood, a provider who has practiced for the past few years at TAMC’s Family Practice and Internal Medicine at North Street Healthcare in Presque Isle. Sood assumed her new role as lead of the care team at the Caribou Health Center earlier this summer.

“Dr. Sood has earned a reputation as an advocate for her patients and an emerging physician leader,” said Michael Beaulier, manager of TAMC’s Caribou Health Center. “We are so pleased to have her join us in Caribou.”

Dr. Sood is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and earned her medical degree from the University of Mumbai, Grant Medical College. She completed her internship and residency at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York City.

The event is free and open to the public. TAMC’s Caribou Health Center is located at 118 Bennett Drive, Suite 130, next to County Physical Therapy and Clukey’s Auto Supply.
