PORTLAND—Students, faculty and staff at St. Brigid School in Portland will literally pitch in to assist an annual campaign that makes a true difference for families in need.

From 9-10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6the METRO Toy Bus will stop at the school, located on 695 Stevens Avenue.

Community members are asked to drop off new, unwrapped toys or books to St. Brigid where the items will be “stuffed” onto the bus and delivered to boys and girls throughout the area to brighten up their Christmas.

The METRO Toy Bus is part of WGME 13’s “Joy of Sharing” campaign which helps the Salvation Army deliver thousands of toys to children in Maine.

Interested parties who would like to contribute but can’t make the “Stuff the Bus” event on Thursday can drop off a toy or toys at any of the locations listed here: www.wgme.com/features/joy-of-sharing.

The “Joy of Sharing” campaign runs through Monday, Dec. 17.
