The Sunrise County Farmers’ Markets (Eastport and Calais) are putting on a SOUP NIGHT on Saturday, October 15th from 5-7 pm in the Community Room of the Eastport Port Authority building, 141 Water Street, Eastport, ME.

The menu will offer a variety of soups, chowders and stews, all made with locally-sourced ingredients by local farmers, to name a few: Butternut Squash Soup, Creamy Tomato Basil, old-fashioned Corn Chowder, Turkey Vegetable Soup, Potato Leek Chowder, and more, served with a variety of homemade breads. There will also be a salad with fresh mixed greens and veggies with Garden Herb Dressing, and a choice of desserts, made with a variety of fall harvest ingredients: apples, blueberries, squash, pumpkin and more. Tickets are $12 at the door, or advance sale, at Port O’ Call in Eastport.

There will also be a Chinese Auction featuring many items donated by the farm vendors, including autumn decor items, produce, canned/jarred goods, Georgian Crystal garlic, pesto, plants, totes, and other donated gift items.
