Worried about identity theft or other scams are using your personal data? You can help prevent such terrible experiences by shredding your personal data. Bring your documents to the Bucksport High School parking lot on Saturday, May 5th, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to unload your documents and watch them being shredded.

Every two seconds someone’s identity is stolen. Shredding confidential documents you no longer need is one good way to protect yourself, your donors, and your customers. The AARP Fraud Watch Network wants to help. Bring any confidential documents to this Operation Stop Scams event, and we’ll shred them for free. It only takes a few minutes and can save you lots of headaches later on!

This event is sponsored by AARP Fraud Watch Network – Operation Stop Scams and supported by Age-Friendly Bucksport, RSU 25, BBHCC’s Senior Resource Committee, and the Bucksport Police Department. For more information, please call 469-2335.

While you are in the area on May 5th between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM stop by Bucksport Regional Health Center’s Spring Health Fair, which is featuring a Bike rodeo, Reiki, face painting, kids book swap, tick and Lyme disease education, skin cancer screenings, gardening and fitness demos, touch-a-truck, giveaways and raffle prizes!
